Friends of Dundee Botanic GardenYou can support the work of the Botanic Garden by joining the Friends of Dundee University Botanic Garden. Objectives of the Friends
BenefitsMembers of the Friends receive a newsletter several times each year, are able to take part in excursions to places of botanical interest and can attend illustrated lectures held at the Garden. Fund raising activities for the benefit of the Botanic Garden are encouraged. VolunteersVolunteers from the Friends help the staff at the Garden by manning the reception desk in the Visitor Centre. This is a pleasant place to wile away a couple of hours, read a book or talk to the garden visitors. Volunteers also help in the Garden, usually every second Wednesday morning, this group of volunteers usually scrub labels and benches and any other jobs that the Gardening staff may have for them, then when all the work is done they have a well deserved cup of coffee!! If you would like more information about volunteering at the Garden, please contact Lesley at the Garden Office on 01382 381190. Membership EnquiriesMembership is open to all interested persons over the age of eighteen years. For further information, please contact the secretary of the Friends via the Botanic Garden. The e-mail form on our enquiries page can be used for this purpose. Friends NewsletterComing Soon |
